Paraiba tourmalines captivate with their alluring blue-green neon color. Despite being a relatively new gemstone, discovered in Paraiba, Brazil in 1987, they enjoy immense global popularity. Currently, the main sources are Brazil and Mozambique, with Brazilian Paraiba tourmalines generally having a deeper color compared to those from Mozambique.

The winning stone is a Brazilian Paraiba Tourmaline (CuO: 2.1%, MnO: 2.2%) with a sorting certificate from the Gemological Association of Japan. The remaining 17 stones, though without sorting certificates, have been carefully selected for their high clarity and excellent color. They are of such high quality that inclusions are difficult to confirm even with a 10x loupe.
