This is red coral harvested off the coast of Kochi Prefecture, a leading coral producing region in Japan. Its deep, rich red color is highly prized among all corals, which is why it is called "blood red."

These are old stock branches (rough coral) purchased directly from a red coral dealer in Kochi Prefecture.
This is a rough coral type that makes the most of the natural, branched shape. Each piece has a different form, a beautiful creation that nature has sculpted over many years. The surface has a lustrous sheen, combining a smooth texture with a powerful presence. The average weight is approximately 7ct. Please refer to the ruler photo for sizing.
