This is a ring featuring a Paraiba tourmaline from Batalha, Brazil. It features an impressive, vivid blue hue and the neon glow characteristic of Paraiba tourmaline. Compositional analysis shows 1.7% CuO and 2.4% MnO, confirming a significant copper content, which is responsible for the color of Paraiba tourmaline. The ring has a clean, linear design, with diamonds set on either side of the Paraiba tourmaline. It is sturdily crafted, weighing approximately 4.7g with a width of about 4.0mm at the front and 2.1mm at the back. An appraisal report from the Gemological Association of Japan (GAAJ) is included.
