Emeralds are generally treated with clarity enhancers, but this is a rare non-oil emerald that has not undergone such treatment. It is a Russian non-oil emerald, a variety rarely seen in Japan.
This non-oil emerald was purchased directly from the owner of a Russian emerald mine. It is handled as "non-oil" based on information from the supplier, and emeralds previously purchased from the same source have been confirmed as untreated by gemological laboratory testing. Therefore, it is highly likely that this loose stone is also an untreated emerald.
Please note that we do not guarantee this item as "non-oil," and depending on the testing methods or standards of the gemological laboratory, a minute amount of treatment (Minor / F1, etc.) may be detected.
