Amethyst has been cherished as an ornament since ancient times. There was even a period when the color purple was reserved exclusively for nobility. It is a classical gemstone with an elegant beauty. As its mineral name is natural quartz (crystal), it is resistant to direct sunlight and dryness, making it easy to care for.
This highly transparent amethyst was cut by Sri Lankan lapidary Mr. Sanjeewa. Featuring a sharp, striking lozenge cut, it offers a beautiful sparkle created by facets radiating from the center. It has been meticulously cut so that light spots are not easily noticeable even when viewed from the front.
