Both amethyst and citrine are types of quartz; the gemstone is known as "bicolor quartz," and in Japanese, it is called "shiou-suisho" (purple-yellow quartz). This is a highly transparent lozenge-cut ametrine cut by Sri Lankan master cutter Mr. Sanje.
