This blue moonstone features a pale blue glow that appears as if a spotlight is shining on its center. The hallmark charm of moonstone is the optical effect known as "schiller," where light seems to drift up from within the stone. When light hits this gem, a distinct pale blue glow emerges in the center. While many gems sold as "blue moonstone" are mineralogically classified as peristerite or similar, this piece is an authentic blue moonstone that qualifies as moonstone in mineralogical terms as well. It is truly a blue moonstone that displays a beautiful pale blue schiller. It is cut in a buff-top style, allowing you to enjoy both the rounded surface and the sparkle of the facets. As you change the angle, you can watch the blue light dance across the surface of the stone. An identification report is included.
