This is a highly transparent apatite cat's eye from Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The state of Rio Grande do Norte is located in northeastern Brazil. Numerous pegmatites are distributed throughout the Seridó region, which includes this state, producing a variety of minerals such as tourmaline and beryl, making it one of the world's renowned mineral and gemstone producing areas. In particular, Rio Grande do Norte is famous, along with the adjacent state of Paraíba, as a source of Paraíba tourmaline, known for its vivid neon colors. This apatite cat's eye comes from a region with rich pegmatite deposits, even within Brazil, one of the world's leading gemstone-producing countries.
