Sapphire is a famous gemstone that needs no introduction. Its mineral name is corundum. Red corundum is called ruby, while all other corundum colors are referred to as sapphire. With a hardness of 9, it is the second hardest gemstone after diamond, and it is also highly durable and stable, making it easy to handle. This is a rare unheated color-change sapphire. Please use a red-light penlight designed for color-change stones to enjoy its color-changing effect.
This is an unheated, high-clarity color-change sapphire from Sri Lanka with a deep color. It comes with a GIA identification report.
