Tourmaline is known as a treasure trove of colors. Its etymology is also "turmali" in Sinhalese, meaning "various colors." Among these, tourmaline of such an indigo blue color is called "Indicolite Tourmaline." It's hard not to want to collect tourmalines in all their different colors.

This is an indicolite tourmaline from Nigeria. Nigeria is known for producing a wide variety of tourmalines, but high-quality blue to green tourmalines only became widely known relatively recently, gaining attention as a production area from the late 1990s to around 2000. Indicolite is a name used for tourmalines with a deep blue hue. This indicolite boasts high transparency, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful blue color unique to Nigerian production.
