Lazurite, named after the Arabic word for "heaven." It is a beautiful gemstone with pale bluish-purple, sky blue, blue-green, and bluish-white hues. Its strong pleochroism, which can make it appear blue or white depending on the viewing angle, is another one of its charms.
This is a highly transparent lazurite from Pakistan, with an appealing deep green color. It is so transparent that it is difficult to find inclusions even with a loupe. An appraisal certificate is included.
