Sapphire is a well-known and famous stone. While the mineral is corundum, just like ruby, all corundum that is not red is called sapphire. This particular stone is a purple sapphire. With a hardness of 9, second only to diamond, sapphire is a durable and stable gemstone that is easy to care for.
This is a highly transparent, round-cut 5.5mm purple sapphire. It has been meticulously cut, with no color void when viewed from the front. An appraisal report is included.
