Sapphire is a well-known and widely recognized gemstone. Although it belongs to the same mineral species as ruby, corundum, all corundum that is not red is called sapphire. This is a pink sapphire with a crisp and vibrant pink color. With a hardness of 9, second only to diamond, sapphire is a highly durable and stable gemstone that is easy to care for.
This reddish-purple sapphire was carefully polished by Sri Lankan craftsman Sanje on site, from a rough sapphire stone purchased in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. It boasts high transparency and a beautiful sparkle. The precise cut ensures no color loss when viewed from the front. An appraisal certificate is included.
