This is oxblood coral collected off the coast of Kochi Prefecture, one of Japan's leading coral producing regions. Its deep, rich red color is highly prized among all corals, which is why it is called "oxblood."

This oxblood coral was purchased directly from an oxblood coral dealer in Kochi Prefecture. It was polished by a skilled craftsman in Kochi Prefecture.
*Although it may appear brighter in the photos, it is actually a deeper, richer red. Please enjoy the subdued color unique to oxblood coral.
