[Listed as 12563435] Malawi Moonstone 3.158ct Loose

Sale price¥18,800
A type of feldspar produced in Malawi, Southeast Africa. It is characterized by fine, rainbow-colored streaks of light appearing within a translucent crystal. While common moonstones and rainbow moonstones are admired for their surface adularescence, the appeal of Malawian moonstone lies in its appearance of rainbow light penetrating its interior. This rainbow color is created by light interference from slight distortions and layered structures within the crystal, and the impressive band-like brilliance that spreads in a consistent direction creates a striking look. The contrast between transparency and rainbow colors is beautiful, and those with particularly good color are rare due to limited production. Please enjoy the unique play of light in each individual stone.

※ We strive to ensure that the photos show the actual color of the product, but due to the lighting conditions during photography and your monitor environment, the actual product may appear slightly different. Also, some photos may have been taken using a penlight.

※ For products with UV fluorescence photos, we use a 365nm wavelength blacklight for photography. If you use a light with a different wavelength (e.g., around 395nm), the fluorescence may appear weak or be difficult to confirm. The blacklight we use is here.
