[On sale July 22nd at 10 PM] Malawi Moonstone 2.001ct Loose Gemstone

Sale price¥12,800
A type of feldspar produced in Malawi, Southeast Africa. It is characterized by fine, iridescent streaks of light appearing within a translucent crystal. While general moonstones and rainbow moonstones are admired for the schiller effect on their surface, the appeal of Malawi-produced moonstones lies in the way the iridescent light appears to penetrate deep within the crystal. This iridescence is caused by light interference due to slight distortions and layered structures within the crystal, creating an impressive effect of band-like brilliance that spreads in a certain direction. The contrast between its translucency and iridescence is beautiful, and those with particularly good color are rare due to limited production. Please enjoy the unique play of light in each individual stone.
