While common moonstones and rainbow moonstones exhibit adularescence on their surface, the appeal of Malawian moonstones lies in the iridescent light that appears to penetrate their interior. This iridescence is caused by light interference due to slight distortions or layered structures within the crystal, creating an impressive effect of band-like brilliance extending in a certain direction. The contrast between its transparency and iridescence is beautiful, and those with particularly good color are rare due to limited production. Please enjoy the unique play of light in each piece.
