Andalusite is known as the "king of pleochroism." If you look at it from different angles, you'll find that multiple colors such as brown, green, and orange are packed into a single stone. It is actually a polymorph of kyanite and sillimanite.
This is a Spanish andalusite cut by Sri Lankan master cutter Mr. Sanje. It features a meticulous cut with no color loss even when viewed from the front.
