Musgravite is a rare gemstone known to only a select few. It is said to have been first discovered in 1967 in the Musgrave Range of Australia. It has been less than 50 years since its discovery. Because its composition is very similar to spinel and taaffeite, it was extremely difficult for even gemological laboratories to identify until recently. It comes with a sorting report from the Japan Germany Gemmological Laboratory.
