Malawi Moonstone 3.912ct Loose Gemstone

Sale price¥37,800
A type of feldspar found in Malawi, southeastern Africa. It is characterized by fine, rainbow-colored light appearing in streaks within its translucent crystals. While common moonstone and rainbow moonstone are admired for the schiller effect on their surface, the appeal of Malawian moonstone lies in the way rainbow-colored light seems to penetrate its interior. This rainbow color is created by light interference caused by slight distortions and layered structures within the crystal, and the band-like glow that spreads in a certain direction creates an impressive appearance. The contrast between transparency and rainbow color is beautiful, and those with particularly good color development are rare due to limited production. Please enjoy the unique play of light in each piece.
