Malawi Moonstone 2.447ct Loose Stone
A type of feldspar produced in Malawi, southeastern Africa. It is characterized by fine iridescent light appearing in streaks within the translucent crystal. While general moonstones and rainbow moonstones enjoy adularescence on the surface, the charm of Malawian moonstone is that the iridescent light appears to be contained within the crystal. This iridescence is caused by light interference due to slight distortions and layered structures within the crystal, creating an impressive appearance with band-like brilliance that spreads in a certain direction. The contrast between transparency and iridescence is beautiful, and those with particularly good color development are rare due to limited production. Please enjoy the unique play of light of each stone.
