Indian Black Moonstone 1.871ct Loose Gemstone

A black moonstone that appears to have a spotlight shining on its center. This bright optical effect, resembling the moon's glow, is a characteristic of moonstone. While moonstones are famously white or bluish, this black color might be considered rare. The photography was done using a penlight.
This is a translucent octagonal cut black moonstone, polished by Sri Lankan craftsman Mr. Sanje.
