Medusa Quartz with inclusions of the mineral gilalite inside the crystal. Although it is sometimes simply called Gilalite in Quartz, the GIA named it 'Medusa Quartz' because the inclusions resembled jellyfish, calling them "Medusa Jellyfish." This gemstone also has several other common names, such as 'Paraiba Quartz,' because its beautiful blue color is reminiscent of Paraiba Tourmaline, and it was found in Paraíba State, Brazil, a source of Paraiba Tourmaline. This is a rare stone that features dendritic patterns in Gilalite in Quartz (Medusa Quartz / Paraiba Quartz), and when light is shone upon it, the covellite glows pink, allowing you to also enjoy the characteristics of "Tinkerbell Quartz."

Normally, the blue gilalite appears like jellyfish, creating a mysterious look, but when light is shone upon it, the covellite glows pink, revealing an ethereal appearance. Furthermore, plant-like dendritic patterns can be observed, making this a highly collectible loose stone that combines three attractions: Medusa, Tinkerbell, and Dendritic.
