Synthetic rutile 5.1mm/0.877ct loose stone

Synthetic rutile was introduced to the market in the late 1940s as a diamond substitute. Its low hardness of 6 and stronger dispersion than diamond (making it more brilliant) meant that it was only used as a diamond substitute for a short period of time.
This synthetic rutile was cut by Sanjay, a Sri Lankan craftsman. It has a distinctive round cut of 5.1mm, allowing you to fully enjoy its brilliance.
