Synthetic Rutile 6.2mm/1.594ct Loose

This is synthetic rutile, which appeared on the market in the late 1940s as a diamond substitute. It has a low hardness of 6 and stronger dispersion than diamond (more brilliant than diamond), so it was only used for a short time as a substitute stone.

This octagonal cut synthetic rutile was crafted by Sri Lankan polisher Sanje. Its appeal lies in its well-proportioned octagonal form and beautiful brilliance.
