Such a beautiful blue. Such a hard shine, with a Mohs hardness of 8. "Blue spinel" does not necessarily mean "cobalt spinel"; only spinel with visible cobalt bands is called "cobalt spinel." This is a synthetic spinel.

This synthetic cobalt spinel was cut by Sanjay, a Sri Lankan cutter. It has been carefully cut so that the color does not fade even when viewed from the front. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
