Tanzanian bicolor zoisite 2.322ct loose stone

Zoisite has a wide range of color variations. It was named after Slovenian mineral collector Zygmunt Zois. In fact, tanzanite is a type of zoisite. Like tanzanite, it is a gemstone with an appealing "pleochroism" that allows it to appear in different colors depending on the angle from which it is viewed. This is a relatively rare bicolor zoisite.

This is a bicolor zoisite cut by Sanjay with a Sri Lankan polished color. It has been carefully cut so that the color does not fade even when viewed from the front.
