The history of simulants manufactured as diamond substitutes goes back to synthetic rutile in the late 1940s, strontium titanate in the 1950s, and gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG) , an artificial gemstone that became popular around 1970. Also known as "three-gee," GGG is a synthetic gemstone that is a cousin of yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) .
This is a custom round cut stone polished by Sri Lankan polisher Sanjay. It is a cut that maximizes its beautiful brilliance.
