The name citrine comes from the French word "citron," which means lemon. As its name suggests, it is a gemstone characterized by its fruity yellow color. Its mineral name is natural quartz, which means it is a rock crystal. Quartz is a standard mineral with a stable supply and easy care, but it is also a deep stone with an incredible variety.
