Sapphire is a famous gemstone that needs no introduction. It is a corundum mineral, just like ruby, but all corundum that is not red is called sapphire. This is the most classic blue sapphire. With a hardness of 9, sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness, and its high toughness and stability make it an easy gemstone to care for.

This blue sapphire was cut by Mr. Sanje, a Sri Lankan polisher. It features a meticulous cut that prevents color loss even when viewed from the front.
