Sale price¥18,800
Sugilite, also known as cedar stone in Japanese, is originally a tiny pale yellowish-brown crystal, but it became famous when Dr. Kenichi Sugi and Dr. Masanori Hisatsuna of Kyushu University discovered a purple variety of sugilite. While small amounts of this gemstone are mined in Japan, larger crystals are mainly mined from the Weissel mine in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa.
