Tanzanite is a stone with an appealing "pleochroism" that allows it to appear in different colors depending on the angle from which it is viewed. The sight of various blue colors, such as blue, blue-purple, and ultramarine, dancing within the stone is truly endless. The name "Tanzanite" was coined by Tiffany & Co.
This is a cut by Sanjay, a Sri Lankan craftsman. It has been carefully cut so that the color does not fade even when viewed from the front.
