Australian Prehnite 0.908ct Loose

Sale price¥7,980

Prehnite, with its charming soft green hue, is known in Japanese as "budōishi" (grape stone). While not a very familiar name in the world of gemstones, prehnite was first discovered in the 1700s, quite a long time ago. Its discoverer is said to be Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn, who was the governor of the Cape Colony in South Africa. It is a gemstone with a long history.
This is an Australian prehnite with a hexagonal cut by Sri Lankan master cutter Mr. Sanje.
