Iolite is beautiful for its deep blue-violet color, reminiscent of a violet flower. It is a gemstone known for "pleochroism," where it appears to change color when viewed from different angles. High-quality specimens are said to be highly transparent and possess a beautiful violet-blue hue. This is a Madagascar-born iolite, cut in a radiant cut by Sri Lankan lapidary Mr. Sanje, allowing you to enjoy its pleochroism.
