[On Sale 11/16 10pm] Madagascar Dumortierite (Single Crystal) 0.195ct Loose Stone
Dumortierite is named after the French paleontologist Eugène Dumortier. The in-quartz form is the most famous. The individual pieces are apparently used as raw materials for high-quality porcelain and to create fire-resistant materials. It is primarily blue, but also comes in other color variations such as purple, reddish purple, pink, and brown. Transparent gem-quality pieces are rare. Enjoy their rare brilliance.
This is a dumortierite (single crystal) of approximately 0.2 ct.
The inclusions are visible due to the 44x magnification, but are not noticeable to the naked eye.
