[On Sale 11/24 10pm] Brazilian Kasharai Amethyst 0.314ct Loose Stone

Sale price¥9,800

This amethyst was extracted from the Caxalai mine in Rondônia, Brazil, over a short four-year period between 2000 and 2004. It's a vibrant, deep purple Caxalai amethyst, also known as color-shift amethyst because it turns reddish-purple in warm light. It was originally discovered when mining development began in search of the rare metal tantalum ore. When it was first brought to Japan, its beautiful appearance and similar infrared absorption properties led some to suspect it was synthetic amethyst. This is a princess cut amethyst from the Caxalai mine in Brazil.
