Known in Japanese as "Menou," it is mineralogically a member of the quartz family.This piece is a "Picture Agate," where the patterns look just like a landscape painting. By utilizing the natural striped patterns of the agate and applying selective dyeing, a scene resembling a single painting is created.This work is by Miuma Kiseki. Layers of blue, green, yellow, and red emerge to reveal a beautiful landscape reminiscent of mountain ranges and the sky. It is a one-of-a-kind piece born from the combination of natural patterns and artisan technique.
