Sapphire is a well-known stone. It is made from the same mineral as ruby, corundum, but all corundum other than red is called sapphire. This is the most orthodox blue sapphire. Sapphire is the second hardest gemstone after diamond with a hardness of 9, and is tough, stable, and easy to care for. This is a 3.9mm Lapiche emerald sapphire from Sri Lanka. This blue sapphire was cut by Sri Lankan cutter Sanjay.
