Moss agate is a mysterious stone that looks as if plants are embedded within it. Its patterns resemble moss or underwater algae, and some have deep green hues reminiscent of tree branches or forests. Moss agate is a polycrystalline form of quartz. Its Japanese name is "Menou," and there are records of it being mined in Japan. This is a 1.065ct loose Brazilian moss agate, cut by Sri Lankan polisher Mr. Sanje.
