[E33 Shinjuku] Burmese Baddeleyite (Badeleyite) 0.272ct Loose Stone, Japan-Germany Qualification

Sale price¥18,800

Baddeleyite (Badeleyite) is a rare stone that is sometimes referred to as natural zirconia overseas, due to its chemical composition being very similar to cubic zirconia (CZ), a diamond imitation. While both baddeleyite and cubic zirconia (CZ) share the same chemical formula, ZrO2 (zirconium oxide), baddeleyite is monoclinic, while cubic zirconia is cubic. There are also differences in their Mohs hardness and refractive index, meaning they are not considered to be the exact same mineral. A certificate of authenticity from the Japan-German Gemological Institute is included.
