This is a colorless and transparent beryl, also known as "Goshenite." Mineralogically, it belongs to the same beryl group as emerald and aquamarine, and is also called "white beryl." While chromium makes beryl green (emerald) and iron makes it blue (aquamarine), Goshenite's appeal lies in its pristine transparency, resulting from its minimal content of coloring elements.
