Tanzanite is a stone with an attractive "pleochroism" that allows it to appear in different colors depending on the angle from which it is viewed. It is never boring to watch the various blue colors, such as blue, blue-purple, and ultramarine, dancing within the stone. The stone was named "Tanzanite" by Tiffany & Co. It was cut by Sanjay, a Sri Lankan cutter. This is a 1.116ct Tanzanite loose stone with a distinctive deep purple color.
