Pezzottaite is a rare stone. It is a new gemstone that was only officially recognized as a mineral in 2003. Its attractive, vibrant pink color, reminiscent of fruit, made it popular after being introduced as a new mineral at a mineral show in Tucson, USA.

This is a large gem-quality pezzottaite, weighing in at 0.670 ct. It is also a rare heart-shaped stone, with very few heart-shaped stones of this size in circulation. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Japan-German Gemological Institute.
