Montana Sapphire 0.228ct Loose (Bi-Color Sapphire)

Montana sapphires began when Dr. J.F. Kunz, a vice president of Tiffany & Co., proved that blue rough stones found in Yogo Valley, Montana, were sapphires. There are several deposits, and the characteristics vary from place to place, but they are generally characterized by high transparency and the fact that many fancy colors are produced. These are bicolor sapphires with yellow and light green hues.
