Brazilian Goshenite 0.771ct loose stone

This is a colorless and transparent beryl, also known as "Goshenite." Mineralogically, it belongs to the beryl group, like emerald and aquamarine, and is also called "white beryl." While chromium turns it green to become emerald, and iron gives it the blue of aquamarine, goshenite's appeal lies in its clear transparency, which comes from containing almost no coloring elements. This is a Goshenite cut by Sri Lankan polisher, Mr. Sanje.
