Aragonite 20.596ct loose
The Japanese name for aragonite is araishi (hailstone). It is so named because calcium carbonate is formed in the shape of small hailstones falling from the sky. Its Mohs hardness is 3.5 to 4, which is a little low. Its hardness requires caution when wearing it all the time in a ring or the like. It has a beautiful glass-like luster. It fluoresces under black light.
