The beautiful green color of emerald is said to change depending on where it is grown. This is an emerald from Colombia that is said to have a particularly deep green color. Furthermore, emeralds are generally impregnated with a clarifying agent, but this is a rare, untreated, oil-free emerald that has not been subjected to that treatment. A GIA certificate of authenticity is included.

Colombian oil-free emeralds are untreated emeralds that have not been treated with oil and have almost no cracks or inclusions that allow oil to enter, and are marked NONE on the GIA identification book ( General oil-free emeralds have a GIA certificate with no indications of clarity enhancement.
