Brainite has an attractive soft green color. The Japanese name is "Grape Stone". Although it is not a very familiar name as a gemstone, prehnite was first discovered in the 1700s, a long time ago. The discoverer is said to have been Colonel Hendrik von Plane, the governor of South Africa's Cape Colony. History is an old gem. It is 5.6mm. Cut by Sri Lankan polisher Sanjay.
