Euclase is named after the Greek word "eu" meaning "good" and "klasis" meaning "to break." As its name suggests, it has perfect cleavage. It is a rare stone that is rarely made into a gemstone due to its rare origin. It is available in a variety of colors, including white, colorless, light green, light blue, and dark blue.
This is euclase from Zimbabwe, featured on page 182 of the book/gemstone encyclopedia. It comes with a certificate of identification from the Japan-Germany Gemstone Institute.
