This is a loose water opal that was purchased in the United States directly from a mine owner in Magdalena, Mexico, and polished by a Sri Lankan polisher, Mr. Sanjay. It is a type of contrarus opal that allows you to enjoy beautiful play of colors when light is shone on it from behind. It is a fire opal with a deep base color.
